Curriculum vitae
Bastiaan Leeuw (1985) is a PhD-researcher at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology at the Faculty of Law. He holds both a Master in Criminal Law from the Maastricht University (2008), and a Master in Criminology from the University of Sydney (2009). He has a keen interest in a number of topics concerning criminal law and criminological, many of which are multidisciplinary and international in nature. However, his main interest can be found at the crossroads of the digital environment and criminal law/criminology. 

In September 2010, he started researching the topic of digital piracy from a criminological perspective, in which behavioral theories will take the center stage. This research is being supervised by prof. dr. mr. H. Nelen.
