Curriculum vitae
André Klip is professor of criminal law, criminal procedure and transnational criminal law. Previously he worked at the Willem Pompe Institute of Criminal law and criminology at Utrecht University (1989-2002). He studied law in Utrecht (1983-1989) and obtained a doctoral degree there in 1994. He is member of the Standing Committee of Experts in International Immigration, Refugee and Criminal Law (Meijers Committee). He is a judge at the ’s-Hertogenbosch Court of Appeal (criminal division). He is founder and editor of the Annotated Leading Cases of International Criminal Tribunals (with Göran Sluiter) and a member of the Board of Editors of the International Criminal Law Review, as well as of the board of editors of Delikt en Delinkwent.

André Klip is hoogleraar straf(proces-)recht en internationaal strafrecht sinds 2001. Voordien was hij werkzaam bij de Universiteit Utrecht (1989-2002). In 1994 verdedigde hij zijn proefschrift Buitenlandse getuigen in strafzaken eveneens aan de Utrechtse universiteit. Hij is raadsheer -plaatsvervanger in het gerechtshof 's-Hertogenbosch (strafkamer). Hij is lid van de Permanente Commissie van Deskundigen in het Internationaal Immigratie, Vluchtelingen en Strafrecht, redacteur van Delikt en Delinkwent en lid van de editorial Board van de International Criminal law Review en redacteur van de Commentaar op het Nederlandse recht inzake strafrechtelijke samenwerking (Melai-Internationaal).
(Belangrijkste) publicaties
Sinds 1999 geeft Klip samen met prof. Göran Sluiter (Universiteit van Amsterdam) de serieAnnotated Leading Cases of International Criminal Tribunals (www.intersentia.be) uit. In 2007 is de publikatie van de delen XI - XV voorzien. Klip is redacteur van de commentaar Internationale en interregionale samenwerking in strafzaken (Melai-Internationaal, sinds 2003). Voorts publiceert hij op het terrein van het nationale straf - en strafprocesrecht, Europees strafrecht, internationale strafrechtelijke samenwerking, oorlogsstrafrecht, mensenrechten en strafrechtsvergelijking.
