Curriculum vitae
Johannes Keiler is a Ph.D. candidate at the department of criminal law. He holds a master’s degree in law from the University Innsbruck, Austria and a master’s degree in European Union Law from the Universiteit van Amsterdam.
His research is part of the project “Towards a general part of Criminal Law for the European Union” and centers around the actus reus and participation. This ambitious project aims at creating a general part of European criminal law by induction of common elements of the existing legal systems of the Member States and subsequently merging them with elements to be found in existing EU legislations and case law. His thesis is written under the supervision of Prof. Dr. André Klip and Dr. David Roef.
Johannes Keiler teaches Substantive Criminal Law and European Criminal Justice Area.
