Curriculum Vitae
Anna Hardy (March 28th, 1983) is a Ph.D. candidate at the Public Law Department within the IUS Commune Research School. She studied European Studies at the University of Maastricht (2002- 2005) and an LLM in International Human Rights Law and Armed Conflict at the University of Nottingham (09/2006 – 08/2007). Her Master thesis dealt with the Resettlement of refugees close to their country of origin, focusing on the particular case of Colombian Refugees and their resettlement in South America.
After her studies, Anna has worked for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Ecuador and Chile in the field of resettlement of Colombian and Palestinian refugees.
On September 2010, Anna started a four year research project on mixed migration flows in the EU, the revised Common European Asylum System in a context of tension between migration management and border control on the one hand, and the need to grant international protection to individuals fleeing armed conflict and violence on the other.
Anna’s supervisor is Mw. prof. dr. H.E.G.S. Schneider.
