Curriculum Vitae
Viorelia Gasca is a researcher in comparative constitutional law at the Faculty of Law of the Maastricht University. Previously she completed her LLM studies in European law with distinction at the School of Law of the University of Edinburgh, also being awarded the David Edward Prize for the best LLM dissertation in European law. She was a country expert in the EUCITAC project on compared access to citizenship in Europe, a project carried out by the European University Institute, the University of Edinburgh, the University of Maastricht, Central European University and the University of Dublin.

Viorelia Gasca is interested in comparative law, European and national constitutional law and principles, nationality and citizenship studies, political representation and voting rights, European neighbourhood policy.

Her current research focuses on the relationship between the individual and the government within the EuNaCon project directed by prof. Monica Claes (see www.eunacon.eu). She is also pursuing her doctoral studies within the Department of International and European Law and the Ius Commune Research School. Viorelia Gasca is also a scholar of the Maastricht Centre of European Law and the Montesquieu Institute Maastricht.
