Curriculum Vitae
Kaiser Chaudhary holds a law degree from Germany. In 2005 he completed his legal studies with the German "Staatsexamen" after studying law at the Friedrich-Wilhelms Universität Bonn and Université de Lausanne (Switzerland). Following his legal studies in Germany Kaiser worked as a research assistant at a law firm in Cologne for the department of tax law and fiscal offences law. In 2008 he completed his LL.M by specializing in European Law at University of Maastricht. From November 2008 until Febuary 2009 he worked as a legal consultant at a law firm in Lahore (Pakistan).
From September 2009 on he is working as Junior Lecturer/Researcher at the Faculty of Law at the University of Maastricht, among others to prepare a PhD-research with the title „The recognition of England, Germany and The Netherlands towards a marriage concluded in Pakistan, with special focus on the Pakistani marriage laws“. This research will be carried out in the period September 2009 till August 2014. This research aims firstly to determine the applicable rules and the practice of the local authorities relating to marriages concluded in Pakistan, and secondly to describe and compare the legal appreciation of specific occurring problems associated with Pakistani marriages in England, Germany and The Netherlands.
