Curriculum Vitae
Stelios Charitakis is a Doctoral Candidate at the Law Faculty of Maastricht University. He obtained his Law Degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and he holds an LLM degree in International Human Rights and Criminal Justice from the Faculty of Law of Utrecht University.
Mr Charitakis was engaged as a practicing lawyer in a Law Firm specializing in labour law. He has also worked as an Intern for the Hague Institute for the Internationalization of Law (Hiil).
His principal area of interest lies in International Human Rights and European law with a focus on disability. He takes part in a Marie Curie Training Network for doctoral researchers and his doctoral research is entitled “The Challenges and Consequences of Implementation of the UN CRPD for the European Union, with a focus on accessibility”.
Stelios is a scholar at the Maastricht Center of European Law (M-Cel) and a member of the Ius Commune Research School.
