Peter Bootsma (1969) studeerde politicologie in Leiden. Hij publiceerde vanaf 1999 diverse boeken over de moderne Nederlandse politieke geschiedenis, sinds de zeventiger jaren. Hij werkte onder meer bij het NIOD als eindredacteur van het rapport over Srebrenica dat in 2002 verscheen; bij het Centrum voor Parlementaire Geschiedenis in Nijmegen aan de biografie van Dries van Agt, die in 2008 verscheen; en laatstelijk bij de Tweede Kamer als mede-auteur van het rapport over parlementaire zelfreflectie, dat in 2009 verscheen. Sinds juni 2009 werkt hij bij het Montesquieu Instituut aan een proefschrift over coalitievorming, in vergelijkend perspectief. In 2012 hoopt hij daarop te promoveren bij prof. dr. J.Th.J. van den Berg, met prof. mr. L.F.M. Verhey als co-promotor. Hij woont in Leiden.
Peter Bootsma (1969) studied political science in Leiden. He published several books on modern Dutch political history, from the 1970s onward. He worked at the Netherladns Insitute of War Documentation as editor of the Srebrenica-report that Insitute published in 2002; at the Centre of Parliamentary History in Nijmegen he worked on the biography of Dries van Agt, published in 2008; and after that at the Dutch Parliament he worked on the report about parliamentary self-reflection, published in 2009. Since June 2009 he does a comparative PhD research at the Montesquieu Institute on coalition politics. This research is due to be published in 2012, with prof. dr. J.Th.J. van den Berg as promotor, and prof. L.F.M. Verhey as co-promotor.
