Curriculum Vitae
Siamak Amoozeidi is a PhD fellow at IGIR. He holds a Master degree of International Law from the University of Allameh Tabatabaei, Tehran, Iran and a bachelor’s degree of Law (Judicial Sciences) of Ghom University, Iran. He has been manager of the Legal Group of the Research Center of the Iranian Constitutional Council, Legal Advisor to the Legal Bureau of the Oil Ministry of Iran, Legal Advisor to the Center of International Law Affairs (CILA), Tehran, Iran, and he was a permanent member of the legal and judicial commission of the Iranian Expediency Council. He has done some research on Iran’s national strategies for Human Rights, Crime Prevention, Judicial Independence, Public International Law and International Organizations, Controlling Illicit Drugs, Family Law (Divorce and Custody), Presidential Election, Islamic Councils, Bilateral Treaties on Judicial Matters. Siamak has been awarded by Iran’s head of Judiciary Power for his research on legal and judicial long-term strategies.
The working title of his PhD thesis is “Legal Aspects of Accession to the World Trade Organization (with a special reference to the case of I.R. Iran)”. He has also done some research on Improving Enforcement of the WTO Dispute Settlement Decisions.
