Dexon Pasaribu

About

Before taking PhD in Maastricht University’ ICIS, he started his careers as volunteers for disaster recovery throughout Indonesia and joined UNDP as their senior consultant for community empowerment, mobilizer and policy planner for disaster management. Now, his PhD research focuses on the dynamics of justice and fairness in policy model for reforestation, animal preservation and their related technology transfer for sustainable climate change adaptation and mitigation.

In short, until 2016, Dexon has already spent 20 years of his life as disaster recovery volunteers (with various NGOs); as senior researcher (with Universitas Indonesia’s Institution for Psychological Research and Development and Police Science Research Centre); and as Programme designer and Senior Project Coordinator (with United Nation Development Programme and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent). His skills include project development, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation; action research, governance and social change, and lastly, community development.
