Véronique Vasseur (PhD) is a post-doctoral research fellow at ICIS. She wrote her PhD thesis (2014) on the role of government and users in the diffusion of solar energy in the Netherlands. Next to her PhD she worked on the ORGANEXT project, a collaborative project of research institutes in the Meuse-Rhine region, in which she was involved in the analysis of the market and sustainability of nano-based products. After she defended, she worked for a year on the EU-funded TRANSIT project, exploring transformative social innovation like Time Banks and Ashoka to understand and support the emergence of a more sustainable and just “New Economy”.

She is now involved in a joint research project funded by the NWO-JSTP, titled “Energy Efficiency of Households in Cities: A Multi-method Analysis” (the HEEC project). In this project, researchers from China and the Netherlands collaborate in research on energy efficiency for passenger transport and energy use of households in cities.
